Bobby Wagner isn’t just the Mayor of Destin—he’s Destin-grown, Destin-proud. From walking the halls of Destin Middle School as a 6th grader to now walking into City Hall as mayor, Bobby’s roots run deep in the Emerald Coast. His journey started with a trumpet in his hands and a passion for music that earned him a scholarship to Troy University. But it was his love for storytelling and connection that brought him home and led him to launch his own video production company at just 21.

For Bobby, networking has never been about business cards—it’s been about real relationships and building a sense of belonging. That heart for connection eventually led him to Trees on the Coast, an environmental non-profit dedicated to keeping Destin beautiful. Starting as a board member and now serving as Executive Director, Bobby lives by the “givers gain” philosophy—when we give to our community and our environment, everyone wins.

Today, as Mayor of Destin, Bobby is bringing that same spirit of service, sustainability, and innovation to the city he calls home. His mission? To protect, preserve, and beautify Destin through smart growth, local partnerships, and bold, sustainable initiatives—because this paradise is worth investing in.
